Oh No You Didn't, Alberto Contador!

Say it ain't so, you arrogant twerp--yes, multiple Grand Tour champ/2010 Tour de France winner Alberto Contador has tested positive for clenbuterol at this year's Tour de France. His excuse? Food contamination. Aaaaaaayyyyyuuuuuppppp! Clenbuterol, you might recall, is an oxygen-carrying enhancer somewhat along the lines of Alessandro "Wheezy" Petacchi's salbutamol, is frequently abused by scum-sucking weasel-athletes, and is not, so far as I can tell, a typical additive to either such guilty pleasures as Twinkies nor such handy rider standbys as pasta. But you keep trying there, Alberto!

Press conference is tomorrow. Y'know, I *thought* that new domestique he was hangin' with this past July looked funny...

I'm devasted! He is my favorite rider, and I had faith that he was riding clean. S---! I can still hope that this will be explained?

Sure he's clean - innocent victim of a bad pizzeria/patisserie where we all know they use a lot of clenbuterol in their cooking... nice work pistolero - karma for bolting up the hill after he saw Schleck's chain come off - hope Evans gets his tour victory now when Contador loses all three - as he should...

The UCI says a lab in Germany found clenbuterol in Contador's urine sample on July 21 at the Tour de France. But the amount was only 50 picograms, which the UCI says "is 400 time(s) less than what the antidoping laboratories accredited by WADA must be able to detect."

Wow, the bummer is that even if contamination were true, Contador would probably still get some sort of ban.

And it sounds like this would be an additive given to livestock and the "contamination" wasn't from the kitchen, but from the farm.

And now the news about Mosquera! Damn it, you guys - knock off the doping!! (Or, find some better drs? Either.)

And this news is overshadowing the exciting news of the day: Fabulous Fabian's Fourth TT Championship!!! Congrats to him! What an incredible talent!

The problem with cycling is that everyone is assumed guilty until proven innocent. So many other athletes have claimed they were wrongfully persecuted then proven guilty, that no one will believe his story. Just look at Floyd Landis.
