Lance Armstrong: "The Team Won't Be the Problem"

Yeah, and you should've expected that when you came back acting as if Alberto was just gonna drop to his knees before you like every other rider who's ever worked for you.

Wank.

What does this comment from Armstrong mean? When he refers to the "team" does he mean everybody except Contador? If so, my disgust at Armstrong and how he is elevated by everyone has reached a new level. So, what will happen, Contador won't be given water bottles anymore? My sincere hope is that for all intents and purposes Contador joins Sastre's Cervelo team for this tour and that they batter Armstrong into such a state of submission that he call it quits after this tour. I'm begging.

Not a problem. There are plenty of Spanish riders who will give up their bottle or go get water for him. I wouldn't be surprised if Contador has more allies in the peloton than Lance. Seriously, think about the past and how Lance/Disco bossed around the peloton for years.

Armstrong is "Here for the team" as long as he has more points than AC. "Yes, dear Alberto, behave, let me win. I am a 7 times TDF winner and I am here to take away your right to defend your title. Ha-ha." And shame on Brunyl for letting this happen.

Contador's attack was a total bitch move and it wasn't really all that impressive. He let "the team" haul his bony ass to the top and then "attacked" at the last possible moment to gain a few seconds on Lance. I think if he hadn't been Lance's teammate, Lance would have shut his ass down pronto. Instead Lance will have to show him who really is the boss in the Alps on the really steep climbs.

I think the team and media have made it difficult for Contador and I completely understand his need to assert his independence from Lance.

I think this is very contentious and that Lance and Alberto really just need hugs and understanding and to know that we all love and support them no matter what happens.
